Tony Cruz
Tony Cruz is quite simply a Hong Kong Horse Racing Legend as he has done the unique double of being both the Champion Jockey and the Champion Trainer in Hong Kong. Cruz . As a jockey Cruz rode around the world winning countless Group 1 renewals from Royal Ascot winners to the Hong Kong Derby four times to name just a few. Cruz took that success into training winning nearly all of the big races on the calendar including two Hong Kong Sprints, two Hong Kong Derby's and two Hong Kong Gold Cup's among many others. John Moore
John Moore is an Australian born trainer who has had phenomenal amount of success in recent years in Hong Kong in recent years and he has just about won every single big race to be won at Sha Tin. John Moore has had the fortune to train the brilliant Viva Pataca over the last few seasons and with that horse alone Moore has won two Hong Kong Gold Cups, three Champions and Chater Cups and one Hong Kong Derby among others. Moore also took the Champions Mile in 2007 with Able One to add another Group 1 success to his never ending list of achievements. Moore has had a great run in Hong Kong and that is unlikely to let up any time soon so be sure to always give his runners the respect they deserve.
Andreas Schutz
Andreas Schutz is a German born Racing trainer who recently moved to Hong Kong and has had nothing but success ever since. In his native Germany Schutz won almost every Group 1 race to be won including the German Derby on no less than five occasions which highlights his pedigree. Since moving to Hong Kong in 2006 Schutz has had the pleasure of training Good Ba Ba who has gone on to secure five Group 1 successes. Schutz has guided Good Ba Ba to two Hong Kong Mile wins, two Hong Kong Stewards Cup victories and a Champions Mile win as the horse became virtually unbeatable over the mile. Schutz is certainly one to watch when making your Hong Kong Bet over the coming seasons as he knows how to win the Group1 Races and is hungry for more success.
