Sha Tin Racecourse
Sha Tin is the brilliant main Horse Racing Track in Hong Kong and it holds the majority of the biggest races in Hong Kong as well as boasting some world class facilities. It is the only racecourse in the world that has a retractable roof over the parade ring and the length of the track itself is 1560 metres.
Sha Tin was originally built in 1978 and is under the management of the Hong Kong Jockey Club who run the track as well as all the meetings that take place at Sha Tin. It now plays a pivotal role in the Hong Kong Horse Racing and it was recently renovated to give it a monster capacity of 85,000 with two large Grandstands now on site for fans and punters.
The course also has nine restaurants and snack bars, two bars and the worlds longest Diamond Vision Television screen amongst many other on site facilities which makes it one of the best places in the world to watch Racing.
