Hong Kong Mile Odds

The Hong Kong Mile is part of the Hong Kong International Races at Sha Tin and is the worlds richest race over the 1 mile distance with a purse of HK$16million on offer to the runners. The Race was formerly known as the Hong Kong International Bowl and is open to horses three-years-old or above and has been won by some top horses over the years.

The for the 2009 Hong Kong Mile surrounds Good Ba Ba who is going for a quite brilliant three-in-a-row in the race to further cement his place in the record books. The race is taking place on the 13th December and Good Ba Ba who was the Hong Kong Horse of the year in 2008 is the warm favourite to win once again. Happy Zero and Egyptian Ra are next up in the betting and may offer a good challenge to the favourite.

Recent Winners of the Hong Kong Mile

2003 winner Lucky Owners went on to win the Hong Kong Derby as well which means it is always worth keeping a close eye on the runners here as they may well go onto achieve further Group 1 success in the future. Good Ba Ba has been the star however for the last couple of years for trainer Andreas Schutz with the last win in 2008 coming in a course record time.
